Volunteering

The Rancho Bernardo Senior Services Office is staffed with many pleasant, helpful  and courteous volunteers.

Duties for the volunteers include:
Answering the phone
Contacting those on the Reassurance list
Basic computer work
Researching solutions and answers to questions using the internet
Referring services and advertisers
Sharing community information
Making appointments for various events
Having fun meeting and greeting our visitors

Volunteers are normally assigned to work 3 hours twice a month.  The office is open from 9 AM to 3PM.   Schedules are flexible to accommodate the volunteers.

Rewarding Experiences

Annually the San Diego Foundation sponsors a special Hats Off to Volunteers event to recognize volunteers from organizations throughout the San Diego area.  The Manager of the Rancho Bernardo Senior Services selects one of our outstanding volunteers to represent the Rancho Bernardo Senior Services and receive this special award.  The following are those who have received this recognition for the past few years.
